Use what you have

August 22nd, 2007

This post is about using what you have.  Over the last couple of years, I’ve bought a lot of paper and used a lot of paper!  I have also saved a lot of “scraps.”  I knew that at some point, I’d find a way to use up these remnants.

I was thinking of ways to reduce the number of plastic bags I’ve been using for my greeting cards and I thought a little paper wrapper would do the trick.

With my Gocco, I printed up *dozens* of these little bands and let them dry overnight.  I may change up the design a bit so that it doesn’t cover so much of the card… but for now, I’m pretty happy with the results!

    What a wonderful idea! Did you glue the paper together in the back?
    You’re right - using all those plastic things isn’t so great for the environment…
    {By the way, I found you through Indie Public. Isn’t it great there?!}

    Thanks Lisa! I’ll probably use a glue dot for the final version (this one is held together with invisible scotch tape)…
